  • Theodore again

Worked some more on the texture of the mountain. I’ve also experimented a bit with the lighting. The colors look very saturated now, because I made the textures for daylight system. Added some clouds to the scene as well, I think they work well with the rest of the environment.

  • Clouds

Exploring different styles for the way clouds might look in our movie: A sketch for an alternative intro sequence:

  • Mount Theodore

  • Textured Cacti

  • Untextured Cacti

We finished animating for the previs today. Now we just have to render it, and we’re done. I did some environment modeling today:

  • Previs animation

Some of the animation I did for our previs of the film. https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dypcBwYRG-3uwsTvfSwdiYKUb3gF7RzkmzagRxexwTOVDmgl4kbjpgfmD5njObzsnUK6pF6mA2guFQaqrhToCpbd5BLNrY_sQ8HAeFmBUDuDSkQRq9PG2nA9arzsMInD-I9j3s https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwxqgXCxQLKLzoHek4t6kwQ91prXfMEdb57WZ9nKv47dZTusKZPxqXPRmjaIupfWWO0bn4GX4U3Xf6TbhHxc4fWpjpa49a9behXz9cpvCyMupQhjahGYtjBFjafI_gydPZ3mck https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxJobbRRML96_hzzbFmSIU__jfH6ofLDSU20GKPNEtVJj_QDyb6co-VhZN_gh71anjLmUUndwCh6lp0YBrcnugwCWt1hUrZBNHwWzZxZe2HLMsz1-pRI3xD8Fk3NLqbIDenfGQ https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dykQWZPnGSu_QcLCN4tEM1iT83OIeiMbFGSnOOxH4H_BVLGv9vuBHn0sZoUx-o9QijnZ8NdZbd6nNfCfGe3P8Y7ImtHtEur1LQ0EoFEApsKxZxjRSm5PpZZFztBJpqJtkd-9eSa https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dx_BfG134UpabWaOoBxD1Y9paTkrtRJbV-ksTi3dFm3DRZdX_4eMqzag8YpYrDIDtc9aelLWUI63nDiPF9cGnSwjjMYiGPF34FcxtkPPeIMIsDFuij5Aiyq99oan8BQ5mywvis https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwvMN08L2gRm1E2JuvJ0qrQ2tS-qHjlSXYv6pZrAyiNrb8l7CIGdBPtvsb2KziYEiMr3yyO7BQgObRzh6Anoe8gxIfcMonQ9HUui8wQtZuf2Pm8LRGgsQUbdo_kYFwKjITfRYam

  • Dragon flight cycle

A flight cycle I did for the dragon today. https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwCXTdMthTxRIh14LQ-AWUzkb88Z8e5BFg4Z9QtzUOha-kFfpgvn_VJVTE6zpWruozn2oeOVGwNDyvpqSp5m6jg6BUVD6Aa3W9WQ3YpRPFOi–sOa2IIpGurUze52JJdqxqLPOp There’s very little movement on the dragon, except for the wings in this flight cycle. It’s inspired by the way hummingbirds fly. They flap they’re wings really fast, but hardly moves the rest of their body. Some thumbnails I did before doing the flight cycle:

  • Another walk cycle for the dragon

  • Dragon walk cycle

David finished rigging and skinning the dragon for our previs today. Here’s a walk cycle I did using that rig: https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzEvOU0RVQj1GOhHXI3GlMi144gKOj5PAOd-q9tIqAxKCg-N2CQSZBw4iii9szOWfu3OgejCTA1CpQVjJ9EuaICpTe8vLGp0fbxtAU0Wvu-8TzByuZuF25ChgGRHVY0cOZS1jw Some thumbs I did of different walks before starting to animate the dragon: I’ll probably make a new walk cycle for the dragon. We talked about doing one more inspired by the way penguins…

  • Alston walking

Aleksander finished skinning Alston today, I copied yesterdays animation over to the skinned version. https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxTgdQA6DQfRl8pihoNKAk4cgzMR_obhkYbaBm1NlxQoEUk1lC3_QYa0N-H8FhJXfKOWPiGOlV0TmIld1YYYymOJnvs-Wzgwbyg1lVrHQ-bFs9S05HYggNyLnJb-RBINe3Fu7Z1
