Diurnalis started as a series of sketches inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts. These initial sketches also included writing system I created that was inspired by the Voynich manuscript.
The next stage of the project was when I got funding from Filmkraft to develop and animated series with 1 minute episode. I created several animatics and two of these short episodes during this stage of the project.
The final stage of Diurnalis was trying to move from the short episodes into a format with 20-minute episodes. Only scripts and concept art were created for this stage.
