The above illustration is based on the painting below created by Patrick Branwell Brontë. The original painting depicts his three annoyingly talented younger sisters Anne, Emily and Charlotte Brontë. Branwell was also part of the original composition, but he later tried to paint himself out of it. Branwell, Emily and Anne all succumbed to Tuberculosis within a year of each other, while Charlotte (to the right) outlived her siblings by a few years before dying during pregnancy.
