I recently finished a one year course in the maths and physics required for most scientific degrees at Norwegian universities.

I found maths and physics to be rewarding subjects to study and it sparked my interest to learn more. The first few months of the course were difficult, but around January I had a sensation of suddenly being better at seeing the connections between some of the different branches of the subjects. Keeping up with the course didn’t get easy, but i certainly got easier than it had been in the beginning. Much of the difficulty for me with this course was a result of not having done anything more complex than some basic arithmetic during the last 12-13 years since I finished high school.
