This year we have an alphabet themed project in Drawing and Composition, we have to pick a theme and then try to make an illustration for each of the 26 letters. My theme is the occult, so I’ll be painting demons, mythological creatures, witches, ghosts and so on.

Right now I’m working a creature from Africa called Mamlambo, it’s commonly described as a fish with a horse’s head and short stumpy legs that sucks the brains out of its victim.

I started painting this picture in greyscale, planning to colour it later. But I think it looks alright like this, so I probably won’t.
The picture still unfinished and I hope to finish it up some time. But since I work a bit slowly, I have to move on to the next picture and leave this as it is for now, because we are expected to do a lot of paintings for this module.
