Gavril’s Dream – the firstpage of Hortus, my work-in-progress comic about vampires mixed in with Christian and Norse mythology.

Comic page with three panels: Panel 1: A pair of pale hands with blood on the fingertips is planting a seed: "The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden" Panel 2: A pale man, or vampire, is eating fruit with more fruit and plants in the background: "Out of the ground he made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food". Panel 3: Three small figures are standing before two large trees. A flower grows out of the top of one tree. The other tree has heart-shaped fruit and an enormous snake inhabits the tree. Behind the trees is a rainbow and a waterfall: "In the midst of the garden were the tree of life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil."
